Bronson Justus

Chief Executive Officer

Bronson Justus is a compassionate and accomplished CEO, dedicated to advancing the mission and impact of Baptist Insurance Services across people, ministries, and communities – helping to build a safer and more resilient future.

Beginning his career in 1992, Bronson has developed a distinguished track record across the insurance, risk, discretionary mutual, banking, and not-for-profit sectors. His early roles included claims and underwriting, before founding his own brokerage and later serving in senior leadership positions with insurers and international brokers. Over the years, he has overseen risk programs for some of Australia’s leading sporting, union, and franchise organisations, gaining deep expertise across a broad range of insurance classes and discretionary mutuals. For more than a decade prior to joining BIS, Bronson led public sector operations, partnering with local and state governments.

 Bronson’s leadership is shaped by empathy, integrity, and purpose – grounded in faith and committed to the mission of supporting Baptist churches and ministries. With a strong desire to see others flourish, he focuses on building trusted relationships and guiding the organisation with compassion and courage, always keeping the needs of our communities and the wider Baptist movement at the centre of his leadership.

Sue Roggero

Operations Manager

Sue joined the Baptist Insurance Services in October 2009 and is serving in the role of Operations Manager. She has brought a wealth of experience from her previous roles in Human Resources and Administration. In addition to these skills, Sue also brings a great understanding of the needs of church at ground level, being the wife of a Senior Baptist Pastor.

Simone Ferro

Manager, Insurance Operations

Simone joined the Baptist Insurance Services in December 2022 and has over 33 years of experience in the insurance industry. Roles including, Claims Officer, Senior Underwriter, Client Services, Risk Management and Property Underwriting Manager at Catholic Church Insurance for over 25 years within the segments of church, education, aged care, and welfare and most recently at Ansvar working within the Underwriting team looking after their Strategic and Corporate clients within the faith, not-for-profit, education, welfare, and aged care space. Simone’s vision is to serve, bring guidance, support, and a value-added contribution to all Baptist clients.

Julianne Smith

State Manager, Victoria

Julianne has worked in the faith and not-for-profit sector since 2007. She managed the insurance, commercial property, and motor fleet for a large charity prior to becoming an insurance broker in 2019, working with faith and not-for-profit clients. She has a desire to see community and faith organisations flourish and is passionate about helping organisations understand and manage their risks so they can continue to provide help and hope to communities.

Stefanie Binnie

State Manager, QLD  BAppBus; AdvDipIB; DipFinPlan

Stefanie has worked in the insurance industry since 2003 as an insurance broker. During her career, Stefanie has been honoured with the Peter McCarthy Memorial Award for Young Professionals from the Council of Queensland Insurance Brokers, and has been a Queensland state finalist for the Warren Tickle Memorial Award for Young Professionals from the National Insurance Brokers Association. Stefanie holds an Advanced Diploma of Insurance Broking, a Diploma of Financial Planning, Diploma of Risk Management and Business Continuity, and a Bachelor’s Degree of Applied Business Management. 

Gail Maddocks

State Manager, Western Australia. ANZIIF (Snr Assoc), CIP

Gail has worked in the Global Insurance Industry for 30 years, the last sixteen in Australia. She is an experienced Technical Manager with a demonstrated history of  working in the insurance industry, having been the State Claims and Relationship Manager for a major insurance company. She has spent the past twelve years in the Insurance Broking industry.

Bettina Potent

State Manager, NSW/ACT

For the past decade Bettina has worked in faith-based organisations and program delivery. This builds on previous experience in project and program management within the corporate sector, and a long track record of high quality service delivery and stakeholder engagement. Bettina brings valuable insight into managing risks related to people, culture, events, and property in church environments. She also has a strong understanding of the unique challenges faced by not-for-profit organisations and is committed to fostering safe, sustainable environments where ministries and communities can thrive.

Glen Thornley

State Manager, SA & NT DipFMBM DipMiss

Glen has been working part-time with Baptist Insurance Services since October 2019 representing both SA and NT. He also works for Baptist Financial Services. He moved to working in Finance in 2015 after a long career as an Electrical Technician working in a range of Building Automation roles. Glen graduated from the Bible College of SA in 1987 and has held a number of board management positions in church, para-church and community organisations ranging from broadcast media and schools, to social justice and local congregations. He is an active member in his own church community.

Charlie Zerafa

Claims Manager

Charlie joined Baptist Insurance Services in June 2025 and has worked in the insurance industry for over 35 years. His work history includes roles as a commercial underwriter and account executive at Catholic Church Insurance, managing their client’s extensive insurance related needs and their risk management framework. He has also worked for the Steadfast Group as a claims officer and a domestic underwriter. Charlie prides himself on his customer service and the strong trusting relationships he builds with his clientele.

Rodney Marshall

Rodney has worked in Accounting and Financial Management for the last 25 years. While working for professional accounting firms Rodney has provided a wide range of Tax, Audit, Management & Financial Planning advice. He has also been managing director of a music instrument import, wholesale and rental business, retail store and a finance operation, as well as treasurer for a number of churches.

Sharon Rowland

Accountant BEc (Accounting), CPA

Sharon joined Baptist Insurance Services in November 2020. She is a qualified Accountant and an experienced CPA for over 10 years. She has been involved in NFPs and Christian organisations both on a volunteer and employment basis. Sharon has a passion for Christian education and is a valued member of the team.
